White Horse Youth Ranch Concludes its 2011/2012 Diamonds in The Rough Season with a Big Celebration
WHO: White Horse Youth Ranch (WHY Ranch) will have 15 Diamonds in the Rough students (ranging in ages 8-14) attending the last session of the season. To celebrate the conclusion of the season, each child will have a chance to "decorate" their horse with ribbons and paint and prepare it for a parade that will take place at approximately 11:00 a.m. at Cowboy Trail Rides' facility in Red Rock Canyon. The students will be able to dress up for this occasion if they choose and will enjoy a fun morning. After the parade the students will be served a lunch at the picnic area of Cowboy Trail Rides.
WHY: Ranch uniquely offers Diamond in The Rough, a specialized program providing students with a unique opportunity to experience a life-changing connection with a horse. The overriding objective is to reach out to children by providing an enriching environment where they can learn new life skills. Providing school-aged youths (ages 8-18) opportunities to be introduced to a more nature-based, non-urban setting and to experience horse-riding and training, a true western American tradition.
WHAT: WHY Ranch concludes its 2011/2012 Diamonds in the Rough season at Cowboy Trail Rides with a celebration and picnic lunch. Several of those students will be brought out to the facility by Casa de Luz, an inner city ministry and a Why Ranch partner organization.
WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 19 - Starting at 9:00 a.m.; Parade at 11:00 a.m.
WHERE: Cowboy Trail Rides at Red Rock Canyon - located at Red Rock Canyon Stables, LV, NV 89124 - 702-387-2457
