The real estate industry has been hit hard over the last several years. The National Association of Realtors, Members Profile 2012 Report, www.realtor.org, reports the typical realtor in 2011 had:
• Sales volume of $1.3 million in 2011, up from $1.1 million in 2010
• Median gross income of $34,900 in 2011, up from $34,100 in 2010
• Earned 19 percent of their business from past clients and customers
