Air Bag Recalls on the Rise

Air bag recalls hit a record high last year when some 18 brands issued 22 recalls for this increasingly complex piece of safety technology. And just two months into 2013 the pace of air-bag related recalls remains brisk. USA Today reports that Honda and Toyota have already recalled a combined 1.5 million vehicles for potential air bag defects this year.

Faulty Gas Gauge Leads to Infiniti SUV Recall

Almost 7,800 Infiniti SUVs were recalled by Nissan for a fuel gauge malfunction that shows gas in empty tanks. The JX35 (model year 2013) is affected by the recall, reports The Associated Press. A tube inside the gas tank may not be in its right place thus preventing the float from dropping as fuel is consumed. This may cause inaccurate readings on the dashboard fuel gauge.
