Hello. I'm a travel blogger and for the past couple of years I've donated to a travel blogging charity called Passports With Purpose. This charity was started a few years ago as a way for travel bloggers, travellers, and the general public to give to a variety of worthwhile organizations. Since 2009 every year the Passports With Purpose holds an online charity event benifeting a worthwhile charity. Last year $90,000 was raised to build a library in Zambia with Rooms to Read. This year PWP plans to raise $100,000 to build water wells in two rural communities in Haiti. PWP has many top name travel sponsors including Expedia.com, TripIt.com, Blogworld.com, HomeAway.com, Hostelbookers.com, and GoWithOh.com to name a few. Every November travel bloggers work with PWP and with different companies to donate prizes. Every time someone makes a donation to the PWP charity (this year it's Water.org) the person can also choose to enter their name into a draw to win a travel prize. Prizes can range from something like an itunes gift card, to a free vacation anything ranging in price from $100 to $5000. This year the PWP campaign runs from November 27 to December 11. While I've donated to PWP for the past few years I've yet to enter as a blogger. This year I'd like to change that, and to work with a travel company (or a company travel related) to be able to offer my readers who make a donation to the PWP charity the chance to win a prize. My website is mostly about solo travel within North America. I don't believe you have to be a millionaire to travel. I believe that there's a great balance in travel between hitting the tourist hot spots, and getting off the beaten path. I don't believe you need to wait for the perfect moment or the perfect person to travel. I'm a big proponent of solo travel, as well as traveling with others. I believe that travel has the power to change lives, our own as well as those around us. Travel is a passion for me, even though I don't get to travel all the time, I always encourage others to travel when they can. I'm looking to work with a travel company, or a travel related company, who also believes in these ideals, and who loves travel as much as I do. I certainly don't expect for any company to be able to offer a completely all-expenses paid trip for one of my readers (although I won't complain if someone does offer that), but I would love to work with a travel company or travel related company, to be able to offer my readers some sort of prize for making a donation to PWP. As I live in Canada I would like the prize to be eligible to all my readers. I find nothing worse than seeing contests only open to residents of one country, however minimally open to residents of Canada and the US. Your prize, and organization would be promoted on my website, and all social media channels, as well as being listed on the PWP website.
